About the Group.

Questa is the provider of ad hoc events, usually not covered by any of the other groups. A wide range of visits and outings have been provided with recent highlights including a wine and cheese at 'Indie Fude', visits to Titanic Centre, Armagh Planetarium and Hillsborough Castle. Bangor Castle and Mayor's Parlour, 7 May 2026.

On Thursday 7 May 2026 the Questa Group were delighted to enjoy a memorable afternoon tea with the Lady Mayor of Bangor, an occasion marked by warmth, engaging conversation, and a shared appreciation for the local community. The gathering provided a welcome opportunity to connect in an informal setting, reflect on the work of the Council, and celebrate the strong ties between civic leadership and community organisations. It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, and the Questa Group were grateful for the Lady Mayor’s hospitality and time. 

The tour of Bangor’s Walled Garden offered a peaceful escape into a carefully restored space where history and horticulture meet. Winding paths led past neat borders of seasonal flowers, fruit trees trained against old stone walls, and quiet corners alive with birdsong, all carefully explained by a knowledgeable guide. Stories of the garden’s Victorian origins blended with insights into modern planting and conservation, helping bring the space to life. The gentle pace of the walk allowed time to appreciate the colours, textures, and thoughtful design of the garden, leaving visitors with a real sense of how this hidden gem continues to thrive at the heart of Bangor.
