About the Group.

This Group offers the opportunity to meet up with other members over lunch in a variety of local restaurants, to enjoy good food and company. Members take it in turns to select a restaurant of their choice and organise the event. In this way members get to experience venues which are new to them. A very popular Group, so watch the website and book your place early!

Christmas Lunch, 2025.

The u3a lunch group met on 21st November 2025 at the Chestnut Inn, Ballygowan to have their Christmas Lunch, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

Even though we were celebrating Christmas a month early, some of us donned our Christmas jumpers and got stuck into a traditional turkey dinner, mince pies and of course a few wines. Crackers were pulled and paper hats got put on heads, and with a cracking fire going we all got into the Christmas spirit.

As we didn’t have a lunch arranged for December, our next meeting is at McBrides on 22nd January 2026. Future venues and dates have yet to be finalised!
