How to join.
You are welcome as a visitor to one of our monthly meetings to find out more about us and our many activities. There you will have an opportunity to chat to members and several of our group leaders to discuss your own particular interests; members may join as many activity groups as they wish.
If you decide to join us, either download a Membership Application form from our website and send it to the Membership Secretary, (details on the Application Form), or make payment at a Monthly Meeting.
Our membership year runs from April to March, with fees due immediately after our Annual General Meeting, normally held in April.
Currently our membership subscription is £15pa for the year 2026/27, due on 1 April 2026.
Payment by cash or credit card can be made at the monthly meeting. Cheques should be made payable to Comber and District u3a.
Cheques can be posted to the Membership Secretary: Joy Phillips, 9 Ballyhenry Manor, Comber, Co Down, BT23 5ZN.

In addition to the other benefits of membership, you will receive five copies per year of the Third Age Trust’s quarterly magazine – “Third Age Matters”.
Gift Aid
If you are a tax payer, please consider helping Comber u3a by completing the Gift Aid Declaration form when applying for membership. Through this scheme Comber and District u3a can claim a further 25% of the membership fee from the HMRC, at no cost to the member.
Renewal of Membership
Note that for renewal of membership there is no need to complete any form - but please advise the Membership Secretary of any change of contact details.
Please also note that membership cards are no longer issued. With the introduction of Beacon membership status is easily checked online by Group Leaders or the Membership Secretary.
