Our last meeting before the summer break!

As mentioned at our last meeting I’m away 2^nd to 9^th June so preparation for this meeting is a bit disjointed with a greater liability for changes as new information and/or interesting issues becomes available.

The number of PV installations in UK has increased with around 1.65m households now generating their own solar energy and the latest data shows that 27000 solar installations were completed in March this year – the highest monthly total since 2012 – with two thirds of these being domestic rooftop systems. We’ll have a look at the up to date information including considering battery storage. And our members who have installed systems may reflect on their experiences.

There are a number of other interesting short topics to discuss and we’ll have a quick review of our meetings over the past year and look forward to possible topics/areas of interest/different activities etc. we could consider for next year. So have a think about what you would like us to look at or do next year.

As before, McBrides will provide us with broadband access, so feel free to bring along your smartphones and tablets. Tea and coffee will also be available, and note the charge is now £4 each to cover facilities and refreshments.
